12th in the world 🌎 & a new 5k PR of 15:10 👏 What an incredible opportunity getting to wear the USA kit and run in this insane atmosphere (s/o Copenhagen for bringing the crowds 🔥). I loved every moment, but I’m walking away feeling bittersweet about my race. All year I’ve been making consistent steps forward and delivering solid race results, which is great, but I find myself wanting that “breakthrough” moment. I also know that in the past, I’ve prioritized short term success over long term progression, and that isn’t what I want to do. The athlete I want to be is strong, powerful, consistent, and has a long career. So while it’s frustrating to take baby step after baby step, I’m happy to be moving in the right direction 🤗 For now, it’s time to continue my tour of Danish bakeries and soak in the moment.
