Different backgrounds, different perspectives — and a game that brings them together.
Created with young people in Kenya, Ballot Battle: The Campaign Trail uses play to explore the realities of life in diverse and mobile communities — from representation and belonging to access to opportunities and civic participation.
Led by Youth for Peace Young Leader Wevyn Muganda, Play for Peace brings the game together with women’s rugby to engage young people in Nairobi and Mombasa and encourage cooperation across differences.
By stepping into different roles and debating real-life scenarios, participants reflect on how stereotypes and assumptions can shape the way we see others — and the choices we make.
Play for Peace is part of the
#YouthForPeace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme, supporting 50 community-led initiatives worldwide to strengthen social cohesion through intercultural leadership.
