I walked into the Capitol because they were redrawing Florida’s congressional maps in a way that could weaken Black representation, and I wanted answers. I believe our Constitution means something. And I believe regular people have every right to walk into the offices our tax dollars pay for, ask questions, and expect their government to answer them. I’ll spend 15 hours doing community service, and I want to use that time the same way I’ve tried to use my life and my work, by being with people, helping where I can, and giving back to communities across Florida. For those hours, I won’t be there as a candidate or a state representative. I’ll just be Angie. That is work I’ve always believed in. #AngieForFlorida #FairDistricts
