Appearing on the main stage at the Borderland Festival, Isaac Ferrette ’28!  Ferrette of Buffalo appeared with other young musicians at the huge music festival in East Aurora on Sunday as part of Borderland Band Camp, a four-day program organized by buffalomusicclub.  “It was super cool, the environment was insane,” Ferrette said of playing at the expansive venue at Knox Farm State Park.  “That’s the first time that I’ve been on a stage like that – I’ve been playing for 13 years, played from casino stages to corners of nursing homes, but that was definitely a different environment entirely. I’m grateful for the experience.”  The Borderland Band Camp has several different groupings, and Ferrette was in the brass contingent playing the saxophone while he also sang and played the steel drum.
