Happy #WorldRhinoDay! We have something very exciting on the horizon to celebrate! 🦏 This fall, Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance will welcome two southern white rhinos for the first time in our entire 130-year history. To prepare, our team has been hard at work transforming the historic Pachyderm Building. The upgrades include 10 inches of natural hemp mulch substrate replacing concrete for rhino foot and joint health, expanded space for two active young males, sand-blasted walls, new vegetation in the outdoor space, and a lighter, more open layout built for modern animal management. Your support makes these habitat upgrades and the transportation of these animals possible. On #WorldRhinoDay, there's no better time to invest in the future of this incredible species. 🦏 Donate today through the link in bio! #WorldRhinoDay #SouthernWhiteRhino #DenverZooConservationAlliance #SavingWildlifeTogether
