We were honored to welcome Governor Jared Polis to DZCA this week, where he signed an executive order committing Colorado to a statewide strategy to protect and restore pollinator habitats! 🐝 With some Colorado pollinator populations declining by more than half over the last 35 years, this action couldn't come at a more important time. 🌸 As the Governor put it: "Small decisions at home can create what we call a butterfly effect across Colorado." Plant native flowers, reduce pesticide use, choose pollinator-friendly plants, and visit the Zoo where we have thriving pollinator gardens throughout our 80-acre campus. #PollinatorProtection #Colorado #GovernorPolis #DenverZooConservationAlliance #Pollinators #SavingWildlifeTogether
