The Centre for Deaf Studies tcd_cds at Trinity College Dublin proudly marked the International Week of Deaf People 2026 with a special deaf flag raising ceremony at the Pavilion on Monday. The event forms part of the global celebration of the International Week of Deaf People, coordinated by the World Federation of the Deaf. The 2026 theme,"Declaring Deaf People's Human Rights", highlights the importance of recognising, protecting, and advancing the human rights of Deaf people worldwide, including the right to access, participation, education, language, and cultural identity.
