North Alabama will host Alcorn State in the grand opening of Bobby Wallace Field at Bank Independent Stadium, the program's new on-campus home. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. in the Lions' home opener Sept. 19. Bobby Wallace Field is named for UNA Hall of Fame member Bobby Wallace, who served as the Lions' head coach from 1988-97 and 2012-16. He led the program to three Division II national championships from 1993-95 and remains the winningest head coach in program history with a 126-51-1 record. Bank Independent Stadium is located between the on-campus baseball field and CB&S Bank Arena, which hosts volleyball and basketball.
