It’s officially Oktoberfest season, and schnitzelgarten might be one of the best places in the Treasure Valley to celebrate it. 🍺🥨🇩🇪
They’ve added Oktoberfest specials, including a huckleberry habanero brat, plus live music every Friday and Saturday through October 3.
This local, woman-owned restaurant has been drawing in Treasure Valley fans for over a decade. Their authentic German dishes are made from scratch daily using family recipes. They’re known for their artisanal sausages and, my favorite, the schnitzel. This is a serious process to create this dish!
My favorite is the Zigeuner Schnitzel, Gypsy Style, served with creamy red bell pepper paprika sauce. Or try the Schnitzel Sauce Sampler to taste each of the four gravies: Jäger, Zigeuner, Beer and Lingonberry.
The Bavarian Meat Sampler is their house platter with pork shank and four mixed sausages served over hot sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and red cabbage. It feeds 2–4 people.
Make sure to end the meal with their homem...
