Gaussian splatting had one of its biggest weeks yet: PlayCanvas shipped SuperSplat 3.0, three.js added native Gaussian splatting in r186, World Labs pushed Spark 2.2 with Atlas early access coming soon, and 4D Gaussian splatting showed up everywhere from a four-camera Raspberry Pi rig to Superman.
This week's update covers the web (SuperSplat 3.0's global sorting and WebGPU move, three.js r186, Spark 2.2, Atlas and FrameBoy), capture hardware (Intergeo, the Pocket 3D SLAM scanner, Sony's first fisheye zoom), 4DGS (my Meridian rig test shoot with Radiant Images and Gracia, home-built rigs, Venice Immersive awards, MCK's "OM=T" music video, Framestore's Superman webinar), community projects, three research papers (Heat Kernel Textures, Gaussian Light Transport, ENEAS) and NVIDIA NuRec in physical AI.
