Copycat auntie Anne’s pretzel recipe
* 2 packages of instant yeast (about 1 ½ tablespoons total)
* ½ cup sugar
* 1 & 1/2 cups warm Evaporated milk (about 105 degrees f)
* 5 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for rolling(spooned level into cup)
* 2.5 teaspoons salt
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, plus more for greasing the bowl
1/4 cup water
Let rise for an hour and a half in warm place (I like to set mine on the preheated stove)
* 8 cups water (for baking soda bath submerge 25-30 seconds MAX)
* 1/4 cup baking soda
* Top with Pretzel salt or flake salt
* Bake @ 425 degrees for 10-12 mins (or until golden brown. Just check on them)
* Brush with melted unsalted butter (top with a mix of cinnamon sugar too if you’d like)
*icing is just canned sweetened condensed milk you can also make it by mixing 2.5 cups of powdered sugar with 4 tbsp of cold milk.
