Nearly 100 years ago, Missouri was the place to be for jazz musicians. A century later, organizations such as the Jazz Forward Initiative keep the soul of jazz flowing through the city. On Saturday, Sept. 12, the 34th annual Mo Jazz Music Festival took place. The festival included performances from four different bands, including a University of Missouri professor and Grammy winner.
