THE FIRST TOUCH CREATES THE SHOT. 🏒
In this drill, the player’s first touch moves the puck into space and sets up an attack through the middle. From there, the delay changes the shooting angle before the release.
The teaching point: A delay is a timing decision, not a stop. Keep your feet active, control the puck in front of your body, and release when the new lane opens.
First touch with purpose. Attack the middle. Delay to change the angle. Shoot through the gap.
