Some journeys to the green and gold are different. 🛣️ Wini’s story took more than three years of patience, perseverance and belief. All qualities that make a player. After her first senior national team call-up in 2021, Far North Queensland’s finest came close more than once, endured long stretches without a call-up and missed a home World Cup, but she never stopped working for her moment. Different gravy up there! 🪨 Then, on 28 October 2024, the moment finally came, becoming Matilda #230 in a 2-1 win over Germany. Since then, she’s continued to show the work ethic and resilience that got her there in the first place. Some journeys take a little longer. Wini’s is a reminder to never stop believing in yours. 💫
