Boston Dynamics’ Atlas has transformed dramatically in just seven years. 🤯 Back in 2019, Atlas was best known for showing off its balance, gymnastics and impressive acrobatic abilities. Today, the robot has an all-electric design and has been rebuilt from the ground up for real-world working environments. ⚡️ The evolution goes far beyond its appearance. Atlas now combines artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning to perform tasks, manipulate objects and coordinate its arms, legs and torso with increasingly fast and precise movements. The latest Atlas stands around 1.9 meters tall, weighs about 90 kg and has 56 degrees of freedom. It can lift up to 50 kg for short periods and carry around 30 kg continuously. 🤯 In just seven years, Atlas has gone from an experimental robot built to showcase athletic abilities to a machine designed to work alongside people in industrial settings. So what do you think Atlas could look like seven years from now? 👀 👉👉Follow aiupdates.hub ...
