Tallest kicker in high school football?! 🤯 St. Bernard (CA) K Garang-Garang Macham stands at 6’9”, 200 lbs. The basketball player from Sudan decided to take his talents to the football field this season, joining the Vikings as their kicker. Macham made an immediate impact in his debut, knocking through two extra points in his first game. He’s continued to contribute as St. Bernard has opened the 2026 season unbeaten. The Vikings have picked up wins over Los Amigos, Westchester, Wilson and Beverly Hills, including a 32-0 shutout of Westchester and a 44-6 win over Beverly Hills. Macham has converted 11 PATs through the team’s first four games. At 6’9”, Macham certainly doesn’t look like your typical high school kicker. The senior originally wanted to kick for the football team last season but wasn’t able to, according to head coach Dean Herrington.
