This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the stories, cultures and experiences that shape our Red Wolves.
For Ricardo Jerez, soccer has always been more than the game, it’s a way to carry his culture with him and represent where he comes from.
The values, traditions and pride rooted in his Guatemalan heritage have shaped the player and person he is today. Through 62 appearances for the Guatemala National Team and throughout his career, Ricardo has used the game as an opportunity to represent his culture on the field and share a piece of it wherever soccer has taken him.
Every time he steps between the posts, he carries those roots with him, representing his family, his culture and his country.
