This is why doing research as a concert photographer is SO important 📸🙌🏻 1. Check out the artist Instagram profile. This will give you some insight on their aesthetic and what kind of photos fit their personalities. If an artist is more laid back and chill, I’m not gonna go use crazy effects and filters on their photos. Doesn’t really suit them. 2. Listen to their most popular songs and watch some show clips. You’re gonna want some mental cues when shooting to know when something big is going to happen. Maybe pyro bursts on the beat drop or the artist does choreography. Before I photographed Benson Boone, I asked a super fan friend of mine when he does his signature backflip. She told me he’ll literally do it within the first 30 seconds of being on stage😭 so needless to say I had my settings ready and the correct gear ready to capture the moment. ———————————————————— #photography #photographer #concertphotography #concert
