Warhol photographed Minnelli in the 1970s, later turning those Polaroids into his signature silkscreen portraits. In her New York apartment, her own portrait hung alongside Warhol’s portrait of her mother, Judy Garland. Art history, but also family history. That sense of family runs throughout the apartment. In the master bedroom, a pair of photographs of her father, director Vincente Minnelli, were arranged on a small table as a tribute to his style. Elsewhere, photographs, awards and film memorabilia collected over a lifetime tell the story of her own career. A home that reads almost like an autobiography. Photographed by Jaime Ardiles-Arce for Architectural Digest, 1990. #LizaMinnelli #AndyWarhol #ArtCollectors #CollectorHome #CelebrityHomes #ArtHistory #GuyHepner
