The story of space exploration is filled with women who pushed boundaries, opened doors, and helped shape what is possible. Tomorrow, September 24, Wings Over the Rockies will host a conversation with Smithsonian historian Dr. Valerie Neal and former NASA astronaut Dr. Megan McArthur about the women who have helped write the history of American spaceflight. Dr. McArthur will share her firsthand experience in space, including her work on the Hubble Space Telescope and International Space Station, while Dr. Neal will discuss the stories and achievements of the 61 American women astronauts featured in her book, On a Mission: The Smithsonian History of U.S. Women Astronauts. Thursday, September 24 5:30–7:30 p.m. Wings Over the Rockies The evening will include a presentation, Q&A, and book signing. It is an opportunity to learn from two women who have helped preserve and advance the history of space exploration.
