This print needed some rainbow ink and it goes out to all of those who love Dolly Parton. Since our last two Dolly quotes received very positive responses from our viewers, we thought we’d print another in our print shop at the Sacramento History Museum. In this video, in honor of the legacy of Dolly Parton, Jared letterpress printed a quote by her. Set in 60 point Caslon font, the print states, “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you got to put up with the rain! -Dolly Parton.” This was printed with a gradient of red, yellow, blue, and purple ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852.
