Your Evo doesn't look off because the offset is wrong. It looks off because the tire is too small for the arch and everyone keeps blaming the number on the back of the barrel. 1. Stock is 17x8 +38 on 235/45R17, 5x114.3, 67.1 hub bore. That +38 wasn't a random pick — it's what centers an 8" wheel in a factory-flared arch with a strut that doesn't want extra leverage. Start every conversation from there, not from a photo of a car on air. 2. The Brembos set the floor before anything else. GSR/MR fronts eat clearance, so 17" is the realistic minimum and barrel shape matters more than diameter. A "17x9" with a lazy inner spoke face will kiss the caliper while a properly stepped one clears with room. Ask for the caliper drawing. Every reputable shop has one. 3.
