The first mod on a 1999-2003 Honda S2000 AP1 is tires, and Honda basically admitted it — the 2004 AP2 shipped with 17s, wider rubber and retuned damping to calm the same chassis down. Tires, then dampers and a real alignment, then a valve adjustment and Honda MTF, then brake fluid and pads. The header is mod five and it's for the noise.
