Sedan prices woke up about two years ago and haven't gone back to sleep. Clean manual IS300s are Altezza-tax money now, and the people paying it are mostly paying for a badge, a shift lever and a lot of forum nostalgia. The SportCross sat right next to it the whole time with the same 2JZ-GE, the same 3.0 inline six, the same RWD chassis and a roof that keeps going — and half the internet still calls it "the wagon version" like it's a trim level instead of the better body.
The catch is honest and you should know it going in: US SportCross was automatic only, 5-speed, no factory row-your-own. So the whole argument is one trade. Sedan gets you the gearbox and the resale everyone already agreed on.
