On this day in 1823, Joseph Smith prayed for forgiveness and guidance. That night he was visited by the angel Moroni, who revealed that a sacred record, etched in gold and buried in a nearby hill, was waiting to help him restore the gospel of Christ to the world. The faith of a young farm boy changed everything. We are grateful for the record that testifies of Jesus Christ across centuries. #TheBookOfMormon
