50 years ago today, four kids from Dublin started a band. 🎸🇮🇪 I’ve seen them in London, D.C. and NYC. I’ve worked a lot of events, but nothing tops this one: January 2009, the “We Are One” Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial. Watching U2 rehearse on those steps, freezing cold, the whole National Mall waiting, and then getting to meet them… still my favorite moment of my career. Happy 50th, Bono, The Edge, Adam & Larry. Thank you for the soundtrack. 🙏 📍 Lincoln Memorial, Washington, D.C. 🎥 Rehearsal footage, Jan 2009 — DJ AD Foster #U2 #Bono #TheEdge #LarryMullinJr #AdamClayton
