Last night, the Chicago History and DIBS team had the privilege of attending the afterschoolmatters Gala at the Obama Presidential Center. We loved meeting the incredible teens participating in programs like SewPreneurship, Film, Intro to Construction, Visual Art, and Drawing & Painting and hearing about the opportunities After School Matters is creating for young people across Chicago. Did you know After School Matters provided 30,000 Chicago teen opportunities last year and invested $25 million back into Chicago neighborhoods? Check out afterschoolmatters and see how you can get involved today! #chicagohistory #afterschoolmatters #nextgeneration
