It was a different kind of fire alarm scare for residents of a Long Island apartment building, who have been dealing with faulty fire alarms going off in the middle of the night for months. When tenants of the Allure in Mineola came together for a meeting about the misfiring alarms, they smelled something burning and saw a haze in the air. But this time, the alarms DIDN'T go off. The fire marshals office said it wasn’t actually smoke that they saw and smelled, and reassured tenants that the false alarms will stop happening very soon. #nbc4ny #longisland #fire #mineola
