If you’ve noticed way more missing child flyers from Arizona police lately, there’s a reason. A new state law now requires law enforcement agencies to post information about missing, kidnapped and runaway children on their official social media pages within 24 hours of receiving a report. The posts must include details like the child’s description, last known location, clothing, a current photo if available and a police contact number. Before the change, departments such as Phoenix Police generally posted cases publicly when there was a higher level of urgency. Phoenix Police says it receives around 200 missing-child reports every month on average, so the new requirement is expected to put far more of those cases in front of the public. So seeing more flyers doesn’t necessarily mean more Arizona kids are going missing. It means more of the cases are now required to be shared publicly. Do you think this should’ve been required already? #Arizona #ArizonaNews #Phoenix #MissingChildre...
