A man from Lake Havasu City is sitting in a Barbados prison over a firearm and seven rounds of ammunition. According to the Barbados Police Service, 47 year old Jackson Bart Randall was arrested and formally charged by the Criminal Investigations Department with possession of a firearm and possession of seven rounds of ammunition. The offences are dated September 14. Barbados law requires a permit to use, possess or carry firearms and ammunition. There is no equivalent of what you are used to here. He appeared in the District B Magistrates’ Court on September 16 before Acting Magistrate Keitha Ellis. He was not allowed to enter a plea, which sounds alarming but is standard procedure there for offences at that level. He was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service at Dodds.
