An Arizona man allegedly got so frustrated waiting for service at Verizon that police say he threatened to burn the store down, and things somehow got even crazier from there 😳 Police say Jason Bidwell became angry over the wait at a Verizon store in Maricopa, started cursing and allegedly threatened to set the store on fire. An employee told officers he asked Bidwell to leave at least three times. When police arrived, Bidwell allegedly pulled away from an officer and tried to leave. Officers then used two Taser cartridges to take him into custody. Then police searched his vehicle. According to court documents, officers found what they believed were two improvised explosive devices inside. Bidwell reportedly told investigators he made the devices from household items for “self-defense.” Police say he also admitted making the threat against Verizon, but claimed he only said it out of frustration and never planned to follow through.
