A few drops of water gently open the whisky, revealing new layers of aroma and flavor while reconnecting Yamazaki with the element that made it possible in the first place: water. Drop by drop, the whisky opens. Puncheon cask sweetness first. A few more drops bring forward the spice and dried fruit of Spanish oak. A trace of smoke follows. By the last few drops, mizunara reveals its full depth and complexity, reminiscent of Japanese incense. A signature only found in Japanese oak. How to enjoy:  Pour two parts Yamazaki 12 Year Old into a whisky tasting glass.  Use a water dropper or pipette to add water, one drop at a time.
