This print goes out to all the Dolly Parton fans who also like the art of letterpress printing! In this video, in honor of the legacy of Dolly Parton, Jared letterpress printed a favorite quote by her. Set in 36 point Stymie Bold font, the print states, “Dreams are of no value if they’re not equipped with wings! - Dolly Parton.” Below the text is a photo engraving of a butterfly. This was printed with pink rubber base ink using a 4x6 Golding Official No. 2 tabletop printing press, which was made in 1919. Two hundred prints were made on this press run.
