A massive herd of 40 life-sized buffalo puppets took over the streets of NYC this past weekend πŸ‘€ 🦬 Conceived by the creators of Little Amal alongside Lenape and Lakota community elders, Return of the Buffalo: Tatanka Owe Akupi brought a massive interactive public art experience to Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn. Over 150 volunteer puppeteers are guiding giant buffalo built from recycled materials by the Ukwanda Puppets collective through historic city routes alongside live musical performances, dance troupes, and First Nations tribal ceremonies. Did you get a chance to see the buffalo herd marching through the city? πŸ‘‡ πŸ“Έ courtesy tatanka owe akupi πŸ“ Lower Manhattan & Downtown Brooklyn (New York) #culture #NYC #buffalopuppets #onlyinnyc #freeevent
