As enrollment continues to grow, so do concerns about Talley Student Union, as well as other student spaces, as they’re often crowded during peak hours.
Tanishka Ramachandran, a third-year studying sociology and member of the Student Centers Advisory Committee, described the committee as a bridge between students and leadership, one that relies on student feedback and data collection.
“Last year…we went around Talley to count the number of seats that were occupied. I think it's interesting because what we found was that there's still a lot of space,” Ramachandran said. “It's just the way we all utilize the space."
Between student orientation, the presence of a variety of dining options, the campus stores and the number of clubs that often have information tables set up, Talley often gets most of the attention.
Even though these lesser-known spaces don’t get much attention, they’re still available.
