Working parents are not automatically neglectful parents. I grew up with parents who were always working around me, and somehow, I still ended up incredibly close to them. I’m almost 50, and my mother still calls me every day, sometimes several times a day. I don’t know many people who are this close to their parents. So this idea that having parents who worked around you automatically creates neglect or disconnection? I think that’s completely false.
