You’re going to lose more than you win. The question is what you do with it. Ava Stearns knows what it’s like to succeed on some of the biggest stages in equitation and to make mistakes on those same stages. She believes the mistake itself isn’t necessarily what holds a rider back, but staying stuck in the disappointment can. Losing well means looking at what happened, recognizing what improved, identifying what needs work, and making sure the disappointment teaches you something. As Stearns puts it, make a million mistakes, but try your hardest not to make the same one twice. #theplaidhorse #theplaidcast #avastearns #equestrianmindset #mentalperformance #horsemanship #hunterjumper #equitation #hunters #showjumping #horseshowing #horseandrider #equestrian #equestrianlife #horsecommunity #horsepeople #ridinglessons #equestriantraining #ourindustry #horsesofinstagram
