We often think about the body muscle by muscle. But movement doesn’t happen one muscle at a time — it happens through a system of joints, muscles and tissues working together.
Your joints don’t all have the same job. Some need enough mobility to allow movement. Others need control and stability. And all of them need strength and coordination to perform under load. Take something as simple as a squat: your ankle, knee and hip all have different roles, but they have to work together.
That’s why good training isn’t just about asking:
“What exercise should I do?” It starts with asking: “What movement am I trying to create?”
Understanding your joints gives you a better foundation for understanding your movement.
In the next video, we can break down mobility vs stability and why you need both.
