Drake Maye got benched for Tommy DeVito in the fourth quarter of the Patriots 35-6 loss to the Jaguars. Three turnovers today: the ball fell out of his hand with nobody touching him, Travis Hunter picked him off in the end zone for the first interception of his career, and Jarrian Jones took one back to the five. Maye now has one touchdown pass and seven turnovers, the most in the NFL, seven months after losing the MVP to Matthew Stafford by one vote. But this did not start in Week 1. Since the start of last postseason Maye has fifteen turnovers in six games. He had eleven in all seventeen games last regular season. Two weeks ago Mike Vrabel told a reporter nobody was going to ruin his Sunday. Next Sunday the Patriots go to Buffalo. Slump, or something worse? Tell me in the comments.
