It's Opening Day! ⚾️ The American Royal team is cheering loud for the kcroyals! Did you know the name "Royals" is a salute to the city's heritage in the livestock industry? The winning entry in a 1968 contest amongst fans said, "Kansas City’s new baseball team should be called the Royals because of Missouri’s billion-dollar livestock income, Kansas City’s position as the nation’s leading stocker and feeder market and the nationally known American Royal parade and pageant." Good luck to our boys in blue! #AmericanRoyal #WhereChampionsAreCrowned #KansasCity #KCRoyals #BringOutTheBlue
