Nebraska football’s first Big Ten road test ends with a statement win. 🌽 The Huskers take down Michigan State 31-13 in East Lansing to improve to 4-0 and open conference play 1-0. Anthony Colandrea accounted for 278 yards of offense, throwing for 212 yards and two touchdowns while adding a team-high 66 rushing yards. Kwazi Gilmer delivered another huge night with four catches for 101 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown. Mekhi Nelson added 61 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Vincent Genatone scored on a 13-yard receiving touchdown just before halftime and a running touchdown in the 2nd half. Jamal Rule left the game at the end of the first quarter with a knee injury. His status is unknown. Rob Aurich’s Blackshirts set the tone, holding Michigan State to only 39 rushing yards and forcing three turnovers.
