Artist, Selena McArthur, is creating a space for vulnerability and serenity with these two pieces she’s donated for Sunday’s art extravaganza.  The first is "Jasmine Gift from God". Selena captured a vulnerable side of life in this collection. Haunted by mental and physical abuse, she draws attention to the exquisite gold jewelry on the woman. The artist accentuates her paintings with the glitter of gold to express her feelings about trauma in her life. In expense, there is no healing power in the glitter of the gold jewelry. Rather, it exemplifies her pain. Life itself is precious. Life, in its purest state, is priceless. You cannot place a value on life. Nor can you let other people define you. In the piece entitled, “Serenity”, she gives viewers a sense of serenity in this painting. Even on a cloudy day, nature is resplendent as it draws our attention to a meadow of flowers.
