French police used tear gas on Monday to disperse migrants trying to leave the northern French coast in an attempt to reach Britain. Footage showed a group, some wearing life jackets, running back up the beach after police intervened. A slashed dinghy was left on the beach at Petit-Fort-Philippe in Gravelines following the incident. In a separate incident, three people, including a child, died while attempting to cross the English Channel from France to the UK, local authorities said. #France #UK #ChannelCrossings #Migration #EnglishChannel
