Thoughts? 🔊 Toyota’s new GR GT3 sounds absolutely vicious being pushed around the Nürburgring.
The purpose-built race car is based on Toyota Gazoo Racing’s new GR GT and is being developed specifically to meet FIA GT3 regulations.
Under the hood sits a newly developed 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, with many of its core components shared with the road-going GR GT.
Unlike the hybrid GR GT, the GT3 version is focused entirely on customer racing and sends its power to the rear wheels.
Toyota says development has included extensive real-world testing at circuits around the world, including Fuji Speedway and the Nürburgring, to refine durability and performance at the limit.
The company is also developing the car around both professional and gentleman drivers, with the goal of making it competitive while remaining approachable to race.
