๐Ÿš€ A Zhejiang University engineer just casually took off in a jet suit in front of a crowd of students. The pilot is Jiao Bojing, a mechanical systems and flight-test engineer with the JetRob team at Zhejiang Universityโ€™s Huzhou Institute. The system is powered by five compact turbojet engines, with two controlled by each hand and another mounted on the back. Instead of using conventional flight controls, Jiao changes the position of his arms and body to redirect thrust and control his movement through the air. The jetpack weighs about 31 kg empty and roughly 46 kg fully fueled, with a reported flight time of around three to five minutes. The team says the system can theoretically reach speeds of around 100 km/h, or 62 mph, while future versions could incorporate autonomous flight control. Seeing technology like this actually lift someone off the ground makes personal jetpacks feel a lot less like science fiction. Would you trust yourself to fly one of these? What are your thou...
