I feel super lucky that the videos I make aren't just work for hire, but often meaningful experiences for me, too. This summer I got to document the sneak peek screening of @perfectsundaystv , a TV series about a fictional dairy farming family trying to stay afloat in the wake of their patriarch's suicide. The screening was held at a church where a number of scenes had been filmed, and was attended by community members who had inspired and participated in the series' making. Faith and farming are two things I had already been developing an interest in, so telling the story of the show and the community that birthed it was awesome and eye-opening. Along with this short event recap, I created a longer mini-documentary about the experience that can be found on the @perfectsundaystv YouTube channel. I love to learn by telling stories. It necessitates my poking and prodding and rewards my curiosity in a unique way.
