A centuries-old map is adding a fresh twist to the ongoing search for Noah’s Ark, after a depiction of the biblical vessel was spotted near the region researchers are now investigating in Turkey. Created in 1587 by Italian cartographer Urbano Monte, the enormous map shows the Ark resting on the mountains of Ararat. Independent researcher Jimmy Corsetti pointed to the apparent overlap with the Durupınar Formation, asking: 'Coincidence?' Researchers are now examining the boat-shaped formation using techniques including radar surveys and core drilling, with the team reporting unusual underground features and organic material.
