A flooded plaza in front of a shopping mall in Bangkok was transformed into a temporary floating market on Monday as floodwaters continued to inundate parts of the Thai capital.
Sellers waded through knee-deep water to sell fish, vegetables and other essentials from floating platforms and foam boxes.
Buyers navigated the makeshift market on foot, in boats and on improvised floating objects as heavy rain continued.
One shop owner said she was losing at least 3,000 baht ($90) a day because of the flooding, while another said residents were struggling to access food and other necessities.
Bangkok was declared a disaster-affected area on Saturday after nearly 30cm of rain fell over 48 hours.
Flooding has affected 41 provinces across Thailand since September 16, killing at least eight people and affecting more than 580,000 homes, according to the Interior Ministry.
