The death toll from the sinking of an Indonesian ferry has risen to 64, with 71 people still missing nearly two weeks after the vessel went down in the Java Sea.⁣ The Virgo Transport 8 was carrying 213 passengers and 30 crew when it lost contact after departing Surabaya, bound for Borneo. ⁣ Of the 243 people on board, 172 have been evacuated, 108 survived, 64 have died and 71 remain unaccounted for.⁣ Rescuers recovered 11 bodies on Saturday — four from the submerged wreck, seven along the shoreline.
