The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russia is open to a peace settlement process on Ukraine, but believes it is lasting peace that should be sought rather than a temporary ceasefire.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was responding to remarks by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, who told the UN Security Council on Wednesday that Kyiv is ready for a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire and called on Russia to accept the same terms.
"Our position on this has not changed," Peskov said.
